Paragraph 8.2 of Section 01 10 10states to "Provide lightning protection for all outdoor equipment." Is this requirement for only new work equipment or is there also new LP work required for existing equipment?

Can pumps be sized based on best engineering practice or is the 150 GPM requirement fixed? The stated requirement for 150 GPM fuel transfer pump flow appears to be too high for this application. Each 2 MW generator will consume about 140 gallons per hour for a total of 560 gallons per hour for four generators. Industry practice is to apply a safety factor of 3-4 times generator consumption, so the pumps should be sized for 1,600 to 2,100 gallons per hour. Filling generator day tanks at 150 gallons per minute (9,000 GPH) would present safety and operational problems including: foaming of the oil that could cause float switches and level sensors to malfunction and the engine fuel pump to lose prime, and potential overfilling of tanks if tank fill valves do not close fast enough.

Paragraph 2.4 of Section 01 10 12 indicates fast track and a 100% unreviewed design submittal. However, Paragraphs 6.1 and 6.2 mention 65% and final design submittals. Which is correct?

Paragraph 8.3.1 of Section 01 10 10 references a roof top unit requirement. There is no other information regarding a roof top unit. Please clarify.

Project objectives call for providing the fuel system for four existing generators. A satellite view of the facility seems to indicate that only three of the generators are currently existing with a space for the fourth, but the view may not be current. Is the fourth generator existing; and if not, to what extent are piping and controls to be provided to the empty generator location?
